This Privacy Policy applies to the PugBreaker web game and PugBreaker Roku channel (together, "PugBreaker").
Information we collect
PugBreaker does not ask for your real name, email address, account information, precise location, contacts, or payment information. It does not include advertising or analytics services.
Information stored on your device
PugBreaker stores basic gameplay statistics, including games played, high score, cumulative score, campaign progress, and your saved leaderboard name, locally on your device. The web game uses browser local storage, and the Roku channel uses the Roku Registry.
For leaderboard support, PugBreaker also stores a randomly generated player ID on your device. This ID helps the leaderboard server limit abuse and duplicate submissions. You can remove locally stored information by resetting your statistics, clearing site data, or uninstalling the channel, as applicable.
Global leaderboards
PugBreaker can contact the leaderboard server when a new game starts so the server can issue a game session, seed, and nonce used to validate eligible scores. If the leaderboard server is unavailable, gameplay continues locally and no score can be submitted for that game.
If you submit a score, PugBreaker sends the leaderboard display name you entered, game mode, platform, app version, score details, remaining-ball count, campaign level or campaign board score when applicable, and a transcript of gameplay moves used to replay and verify the score. The leaderboard server also receives your device's normal network IP address as part of the request.
The server stores submitted leaderboard entries in a database. Public leaderboard results show your display name, rank, final score, platform, app version, remaining count, move count, submission time, and campaign level when applicable. Your move transcript, session data, generated player ID, and IP address are used for validation, rate limiting, duplicate prevention, and moderation.
The leaderboard server hashes the generated player ID and IP address before storing them. Hashing helps avoid storing the original values, but these hashes are still used to recognize repeated submissions or abuse patterns. Do not enter sensitive personal information as your leaderboard display name.
Platform providers
The platform you use to access PugBreaker, such as Roku or a website hosting provider, may process technical information under its own privacy policy. That processing is controlled by the platform provider, not by PugBreaker.
Children's privacy
PugBreaker is a general-audience game and does not knowingly request personal information from children. Players should not include personal information in leaderboard names.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if PugBreaker's data practices change. Any update will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
